Pese a que en la actualidad el arte de los discos se ha ido perdiendo un poco debido a los lanzamientos digitales y otras de las veces debido a que parece que ya no le ponen mucho empeño, sin duda sigue siendo un elemento esencial en cualquier disco.
Naturalmente una portada llamativa visualmente va hacer más interesante a un disco que una que no lo es, a través del blog themusic.fm me encontré con una recapitulación de 25 portadas que a lo largo de la historia han incluido caricaturas en vez de fotos o imágenes muy sofisticadas.
Entre la lista se encuentra Krafty Kuts, Calexico, Ramones, The Beatles y obviamente Gorillaz.
